MEP engineer with Passivhaus bias

We are a small specialist MEP & Passivhaus consultancy based in London. Our work covers genuinely interesting and diverse projects across the UK: residential large and small, schools, major galleries, archives, deep retrofits, and repurposed buildings.

We are looking for a 5+ year experience MEP engineer to join us and take real ownership of projects.

What we're looking for:
• Mechanically biased, but curious about buildings as a whole (fabric, airtightness, thermal bridging, overheating and comfort; how it all comes together)
• Confident enough to run projects independently
• Organised, calm under pressure, and client-facing
• Comfortable saying "I don't know, but I'll find out"
• Is interested in how buildings actually perform
• Starting straight away
• We are happy to chat with more senior experienced engineers, to explore the fit with our team structure

What you'll get:
• Projects across all RIBA stages 1–6, with genuine variety.
• Brilliant clients and architects with repeat work
• Real autonomy—this isn't a drafting role
• Close working with experienced engineers producing cutting edge buildings
• London based, flexible working + some site visits
• Annual profit share; in addition to a competitive salary
• A voice in how the practice grows

Software: Bluebeam & Revit MEP essential; AutoCAD, PHPP/DesignPH a plus—we can train the right person.

If this sounds like you, or if you know someone brilliant, drop me a message or email Bertie@in-out-eng.com.
